NorbBUG LITE

NorbBUG LITE™ is a unique light with specialized light spectrum to help keep moths and mosquitoes away.

Like every living creature, insects have a physiology that’s linked to light—from both sun and moon—and ordinary white lights tend to draw bugs toward them.

NorbBUG LITE leaves out the wavelengths that draw in bugs and illuminates your home, work, and campsite without being a bug magnet.

NorbBUGLITE spectrum compared to amber-coated bulbs and ordinary LED/incandescent bulbs

NorbBUG LITE has a specialized light spectrum to reduce bug counts.

Amber-coated light bulbs and typical LED and incandescent bulbs contain bug-attracting blue light.

The light spectrum of amber-coated bug bulbs is less effective than the NorbBUG Lite LED
What makes NorbBUGLITE the right choice for reducing bugs?
  • Better than amber coated bulbs (less energy, longer lasting, more precise)
  • Specialized light spectrum for bug reduction
  • Designed without the wave lengths that attract bugs, moths and mosquitoes
  • Versatile — fits standard sockets, compact enough to fit into most fixtures
  • Warm amber glow is relaxing and tranquil
NorbBUG LITE is an amber-colored LED that leaves out the wavelengths of light that attracts pesky bugs.

Our Happy Customers

NorbBUG LITE specialized bug-free yellow LED light bulb in an outdoor fixture

“I bought the Norb Bug Lite and love it! Easily swapped it with the current bulb on my outdoor lights. The soft orange glow of the bulb is bright enough for outdoor lighting on our patio at night, without attracting bugs. My Mom keeps bees in our backyard and they are often found ramming into our outside lights at night. With these Bug Lites, there are no longer swarms of bugs on our outdoor lights on warm summer nights. I’m so impressed with the estimated energy cost per year which is only $1.45 per bulb. On the box it says they will last 12 years!” – Sierra S.

NorbBUGLITE 4-pack of bulbs

“I wish I would have found this Norb Bug Lite Light sooner! I have a lovely, inviting summer porch with wicker furniture and rockers, but after being “eaten alive” by mosquitos in July, I had stopped sitting out there as much. HOWEVER, once I received and installed my new Bug Lite bulbs I have returned to loving summer porch life again! Yay!! I used the 4 pack of Norb Bug Lite bulbs to easily replace the 4 normal bulbs I had been using. I love the soft light they emit! It is a perfect setting for sipping wine and chatting with friends – without the pests!! I used to always have this swarm of bugs around each light fixture. No more! The bugs are just not there anymore. I was excited to read on the package that this 4 pack set of bulbs will last 12 years! I am so pleased with my purchase. Summer porch life is now better than ever!” – Jeanne M.

“I was curious about these “Bug Lite”s, from Norb. I read what the deal was with them, that instead of being coated bulbs, these Bug Lite light bulbs instead emit a yellow light, and this light lacks the, “Blue light” that bugs are attracted to. The color of this bulb is in line with 2000K color temperature listed on the box. The Lumens is rated at 960, so this is slightly above a 60Watt equivalent light bulb, which are usually rated around 800 Lumens. There is a paper inside this box of 4 Bug Lite lightbulbs, the paper gives you some ideas on places to install these Norb Bug Lite light bulbs. Also, Warranty information, how these light bulbs differ from standard yellow coated bug bulbs, etc. Oh, and these bulbs are UL listed. All in all, the package is nice. I put a bulb out last night, and it worked fine. No bugs. The light that this light bulb emits is an Amber/Orange color. The color is a bit different from other Bug Lights, and I actually find this color a bit less harsh. So far, so good with the Bug Lite light bulbs! They really are a step up from coated bulbs.” – Richard R.

NorbBUGLITE 4-pack of bulbs

“Living on an inland lake in Michigan and with the humidity this summer we have had an overwhelming amount of bugs… a friend told me about these lights and I’m so glad they did! It totally made a difference in those late nights out on the back deck and kept all the gross bugs away – big and small! Definitely will be trying NORBs other products! ” – Bruce B.

“A summer must-have! The glow is golden and soft and the bugs stay away. Low-energy but high effectiveness!” – KLG

NorbBUGLITE 4-pack of bulbs

“I am so thankful my friend recommended the norb bug lite for me. We were having happy hour on my patio and the mosquitoes would not leave us alone. She told me she recently got the norb bug lite for her porch and how it made a big difference. Since I put in the norb light bulb I have noticed a huge difference in the amount of bugs, and it has made relaxing on the patio much more enjoyable.” – Lauren
